1. The 1878 VAM-15 is an [[8 Tailfeather Morgan|8 tailfeather coin]] with the A1e reverse. This reverse is characterized by unique tailfeathers next to the eagle's wings including a spiked feather on the right side that is often used as a diagnostic when paired with the two curved feathers on the left side(see photo below). Please note that this reverse is shared with the [[1878-P VAM-10|VAM-10,]] which is not a Top 100 variety. Thus, the obverse must also be examined for distinction.<br />
