1927-S VAM-3 Doubled Leaves

Discovered by Jeff Oxman, February 1998.
This coin is a Top 50 Peace Dollar VAM.
3 II 1 · B2c (Doubled Leaves) I-3 R-4
Obverse II1 - Diagonal die gouge at top right of designer's initials. Also on VAM-1J.
Reverse B2c - Doubled bottom edges of upper olive leaves and slightly doubled rear edge of leg feathers.

1. VAM-5 also has a doubled reverse, but doubling is not as strong as VAM 3.
2. EDS of obverse die was first paired with a normal reverse die - 1927-S VAM-1J
