1925-S VAM-4 Doubled DOL

Discovered by Jeff Oxman, February 1998.
4 II 1 B2d (Doubled DOL) I-3 R-4
Reverse B2d- Doubled bottom edges of DOL in DOLLAR, some lower edges of olive leaves and branches, and rear feather edges in legs.

Secondary markers:
The mint mark is tilted slightly to the left (not nearly as much as on the VAM 9).On higher grade (at least AU) coins, the rear feathers actually look tripled.
On the obverse, there is a thin die scratch extending diagonally toward the chin from the right side of the "W."There is a pair of parallel die scratches above the first "L" in DOLLAR.
