1921-S VAM-29 Doubled Obverse & Reverse Letters

revised 2014 nickcapuano
29 (revised) IV 20 ∙ D2p (Doubled Obverse & Reverse Letters) (189) I-2 R-5
Obverse IV 20 - Slightly doubled and tripled some left and right stars towards rim. Slightly doubled PL-RIBUS towards rim.
Reverse D2p - Slightly doubled STATES OF towards rim. No scribbling die scratches at leg with over polished left upper tail feathers. S mint mark set slightly to right.

1. This and VAM 1AG apparently refer to the same die pair. It would make sense in this case that VAM 1AG will be eliminated, although this hasn't officially been done.
2. There are two different die polishing patterns seen in front of Liberty's neck for the unclashed VAM 29, but the pattern behind the head and on the reverse is the same. The VAM 29A seems to be clashed over the second of these two patterns.
