59 (revised) IV 1 D2a (Scribbling Die Scratches, Denticle Impressions Olive Branch) (189) I-2 R-5
Obverse IV 1 – Slightly doubled nose, forehead hair and top of Phrygian cap.
Reverse D2a -
Comments:
1- The former VAM 59 "dot above O in DOLLAR" is now VAM-59A, which is a late die state of the re-classified VAM 59.
2- This new VAM 59 is an earlier die state with no dot above O but does have four denticle impressions through the tip of the olive branch.
3- Both V59 and V59A have matching scribbles, TY die scratch, and gouge in wing.
4- At least one known V59A (dot above O in DOLLAR) also has denticle impressions through the olive branch tip, so be sure to check your coin carefully.
