1921-P VAM-3Q1 Die Gouge ER

Discovered by John Kohut, February 2004.
3Q1 IV 1 · D2a (Die Gouge ER, Scribbling Die Scratches) (189) I-2 R-5
Obverse IV 1– Die gouge line thru tops of ER in LIBERTY. Shallow LIBERTY from over polishing.
Reverse D2a - Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg and between eagle's left wing and body.
Die marker - Ting raised dot at space between eagle's left wing and neck plus long single vertical die scratch in lower feather space of eagle's right leg.
Comments:
1- Die gouge line thru tops of ER in LIBERTY. Shallow LIBERTY from over polishing.
2- Update 4-27-12: Same dies as the later-listed 1921-P VAM-3AC.
