1921-P VAM-3K Die Break Third Left Star

3K IV 1 D2a (Die Break Third Left Star, Scribbling Die Scratches) (189) I-2 R-6
Obverse IV 1- Small die break at lower left side of third left star with die crack extending to front left star and to lower part of third left star down to rim.
Reverse D2a - Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg and between eagle's left wing and body. Die marker - Vertical die scratch thru sixth outer feather from bottom of eagle's right wing.
1- Error as listed in Supplement - not Die Break Second Left Star, but is Die Break Third Left Star.

It seems that the VAM-3K is also a scribbling scratches variety, also listed for a while as 1921-P VAM-3CO, though this is still waiting Leroy confirmation. The oblong "stretched football" field scribble off the feathers off the right leg is a case-closed diagnostic feature:
