IV I - D2a (Scribbling Die Scratches #137 ) (189) I-2 R-5
Reverse D2 a - Fine die scratched in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg and between eagle's left wing and body. Die marker - Heavy die polishing lines in eagle's left wing. Short vertical polishing line above right ribbon at wreath stem.

The scribbles are interesting, especially the two strong ones on the outside of the eagle's leg. Both of these photos are of the same coin, but with different lighting angles to show the inside scribbles better:

A small nipple on the E in STATES has been found on 2 later die state examples of VAM 3GE:
