1921-P VAM-3F4 Die Gouge Wing, Pitted Reverse, Die Break Above R

Discovered by Rob Joyce, July 2008. Revised 2010.
This coin is a Hot 50 Morgan VAM and a WOW! Morgan VAM.
3F4 (revised) IV1 - D2a (Die Gouge Wing, Pitted Reverse, Die Break Above R) (189) I-3 R-7
Obverse IV 1 - Die 2 - Diagonal die crack from 1 thru neck point up to jaw front.
Reverse D2a- Radial die crack left side of R in America with diagonal die crack from top left of R over to denticles where it becomes a break. Denticle impressions at ME no longer visible from die wear.
Comments:
1. A higher grade example still shows faint denticle impressions. Also, close inspection of the discovery coin image finds detectable denticle impressions.
2. It appears that the second obverse die's use began before the reverse crack above the R in AMERICA and the radial crack from the R to the wreath formed. Later die stages of Obverse Die 2 have diagonal die crack from date to chin. See also 1921-P VAM-3F3.

The discovery coin of VAM-3F4 also had a major lamination. Cool vam, interesting error in the same coin. Bonus!
