Discovered by Laurence Galbraith, December 2005.
32 III21 · C4k (Doubled Top Reverse, Clashed Obverse G) ( ? ) I-3 R-5
Obverse III21– Clashed die with partial G from God of reverse next to Liberty head neck. Same clashed G die as VAM 28A but later die state.
Reverse C4k– Slightly doubled UNITED STATES bottom inside of letters towards rim, tops of In God We Trust and eagle’s nostril. Doubling not as strong as VAM 28 C4j.
Die markers: Die over polished with missing inner feathers of eagle’s left wing. Single polishing line up from wreath bow to middle tail feathers.
1. The Clashed Obverse G obverse appears to have first been used for VAM-28, then VAM-32, and in late die state for VAM-2A.
