1902-O VAM-42 Near Date, Doubled Eyelid and Ear, 2 Olive Reverse

42 III218 · C4/C3u (Doubled Eyelid and Ear, 2 Olive Reverse) (181) I-3 R-5
Obverse III218– Doubled bottom edge of Liberty head eyelid at front. Ear doubled at right inside and slightly at bottom of earlobe. Edge of hair above ear slightly doubled. Lower edge of lower cotton leaves slightly doubled. Date set further left than normal.
Reverse C4/C3u– III O mint mark set slightly high, centered with slight shift to left. Extra olive to right of olive connected to olive branch. Doubling on top of olive branch at right of olives, at base of middle and lower olive leaf clusters, lower edge of olive leaves, tops of arrow feathers, back of lower arrow head, middle top of eagle’s left wing, and right side of eagle’s beak, nostril and inside of eye.
