1889-P VAM-53 Doubled Ear, Very far Date

53(revised) III2 48 ∙ C3a (Doubled Ear, Very far Date) (190) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 48 - Ear very slightly doubled at right inside. date set much farther right than normal.
Die Marker - Heavy die polishing lines in hair and on neck and forehead.

Reverse C3a - Die 1 - Same die as VAM-52 with die scratches below tail feathers. Die 2 - Diagnonal polishing line at bottom
of eagle's right inner wing feathers.

1. Leroy Van Allen says the Die 1 Reverse is a LDS of the VAM-52 reverse with scratches below the TF.
