Discovery October. 2011 by Gary Keil
III2 - 14 C3a (Doubled 1 ) (185) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 14 – 1 slightly doubled below upper crossbar. Date in normal lateral position. Die markers – Polishing line at top of I and die scratch out from denticles above S in PLURIBUS.
1. Different die than the VAM-18. [Original discovery thread.]
2. While checking Heritage Auctions for this VAM-20, I found some that did not have the scratch at L but had the slightest remnant of a gouge above S. I did find complete virgins, without any sign of the gouges or scratches.

Please Note: There are two coins here that are 20's, the 1`st according to LVA's plates, the 2nd has no gouge no gouge at the S and no polishing mark at the L, virgins. When and if Mr. Allen sees all these together , he might redo the VAM-20. (RonH270 04-15-2017)
