This coin is a Super CD Morgan VAM.
3A(revised) III23 · C3a (Near Date, Doubled 1-7, Clashed Obverse n & t, Reverse M) (189) I-4 R-5
Obverse III23– Clashed die with faint full incuse n from In of reverse next to Liberty head neck and strong partial incuse t from last t in Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Later die states show double clashed t.
Reverse C3a– Clashed die with faint raised designer’s initial M above and between d & W of God We.
Reverse Die Marker– Long scratch from the eagle's body thru most of the lower right wing.

Notice on the photo below how the 3A reverse clash is between the N and G. When looking
for a 3A on eBay or other auctions, remember VAM-21A also has the clash between the N and G.
So check the date position and the wheat leaf. There may be other 87-P VAM's that the clash is
between the N and G, but I haven't found one yet.
