1887-P VAM-26A Slanted Date, Die Gouge A
26 III2 25 - C3a (Slanted Date, Die Gouge A) (?) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 25- Date in normal lateral position and slanted with 1 closest to rim.
Reverse C3a- Diagonal die gouge from lower right Wreath leaf cluster down thru A in Dollar to denticles.
1. This coin was a "dual discovery", meaning that the VAM-26A was discovered with the assumption that a gouge-less VAM-26 exists and can potentially be located.
2. Late die states are clashed but I can find no transfer(JTH)
