1887-P VAM-1E Denticle Impressions Below Arrow Feathers
Discovered by Gill Medina February 2007.
1E III2 1 - C3a (Denticle Impressions Below Arrow Feathers) (176) I-3 R-5
Obverse III2 1 - Normal die,normal date position,die chip at wheat leaf
Reverse C3a - Four horizontal raised triangular dots below arrow feathers. Same lateral spacing of 0.03" as obverse denticle points.
Comments:
1. Most likely you are not going to be able to see the denticle impression in coins less than AU grade but keep in mind TDITD, VAM-1E is very hard to find in any grade, at least 2 collectors are constantly looking at 1887 Morgans and are having trouble finding one!
2. To be able to see the DI you need to tilt the coin
