1887-P VAM-1B Clashed E Reverse

Discovered by Maurice Dubreuil, November 1974.
This coin is a Hot 50 Morgan VAM
1B III21 · C3a (Clashed Reverse Partial E) (190) I-3 R-6
Reverse C3a– Clashed die with almost full E close to eagle’s tail feathers on left side. Lower horizontal bar is missing.
Comments:
1. Acquiring an 1887 with a clashed E is considered a landmark event by most variety specialists, (as written by Jeff Oxman), clashed reverse varieties tend to be coins struck late in the life of the dies, as represented here with this Hot 50 Variety, clashed E die variety represents one of the hottest areas of VAM collecting! This VAM is on just about everybody's hit list.
2. Additional Photos of the 1887-P VAM-1 EDS of 1B with no transfer, Early Die State does not have the E transfer.
