Discovered by Charles Wallace, June 1966.

Obverse III2 2 - Normal die with 6 high in the date.

Comments:
1. Since VAM numbers are assigned by die classification, and not just by die pairing, multiple die pairings may exist.

The date is slated with a high 6. The lateral position is normal, with the 1 centered over the third and fourth denticles to the right of the neck point and tipped left, as is typical for a date with an upward slant.

The obverse is polished, giving LIBERTY a woodgrain texture.

There is also a die scrtach on the bonnet near the fold.

The mint mark is centered in the normal position and orientation. Die polish is evident inside the upper bow.

Two characteristic parallel diagonal die scratches are in the void between the eagles neck and left wing shoulder.
