1885-P VAM-9 Far Date
Discovered by Edwin Miller, January 1970.
9 III2 9 - C3a (Far Date) (188) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 9 - Date set further right than normal.
1- Since VAM numbers are assigned by die classification, and not just by die pairing, multiple die pairings DO exist.
2- I have taken the liberty to assign unofficial Dies to the VAM 9 series so EDS of VAM-9A is VAM-9D1 and so on until
we get to the EDS of VAM-9G which I have labeled as unofficially as VAM-9D7.
3- Separate pages have been started for these UNOFFICIAL Pairings, These have all the base features of listed sub varieties but lack the listable feature noted by LVA.
