1884-O VAM-39 Far Date, Doubled Arrows
Discovered by R. Patchin, December 1999.
39 III24 · C3v (Far Date, Doubled Arrows) (181) I-3 R-5
Reverse C3v– Slight doubling on arrow feathers, shafts and heads on lower edge and some feathers between legs. II O mint mark filled almost flush.
1. The mint mark may be partially or completely filled. VAM-5 also has a filled mint mark.
2. VAM 32.2 also shows doubling on the arrow shafts, but not as strong as VAM 39. Mint mark position is slightly different as well.

Polishing line on bottom half of Phrygian cap. Polishing lines in D shaped hair curl.
Should not be used as a primary diagonostic.
Slight doubling on arrow feathers, shafts and heads on lower edge and some feathers between legs. Die chip on leaf above O in ONE. Die chips may not be on all die states so do NOT use die chips as primary diagonistic.
Diagonal line at rear of eye. Small die scratch above eagle's right wing.
