1884-O VAM-21 Very Far Date, O/O Curved, Overlapping Reeding

Discovered by Oscar Simpson, March 1977.
21(revised) III25 · C3n (Very Far Date, O/O Curved, Overlapping Reeding) ( ? ) I-3 R-5
Obverse III25– Ear very slightly doubled on right inside. Date set much further right than normal.
Reverse C3n– II O mint mark re-punched with original showing as a raised curved line in middle of opening.
Edge– Reeding on edge is overlapped for about 8 segments at 3 and 7 o’clock, about 105° apart and also at 1 & 5 and 2 & 6 o’clock on some specimens.
