Obverse III2 27– Ear slightly doubled at right inside, right outside and bottom outside on mid-late die states. Left 8 has die chip between loops on left side on mid-late die states.
Die marker- Tiny die chip in hair gap above right side of ear.
Reverse C3l– II O mint mark tilted slightly left. Some polished areas on right side of eagle’s left leg on mid-to-late die states
Die marker- Tiny die chip on right side of eagles upper tail feathers.
1. The coins struck with the same die pair but in an earlier die state do not exhibit concave rims.
2. The late die state with concave rims became VAM-52A in 2014.
3. Can be found in GSA hard pack.
4. Note:O ccurs with rotated reverse of 32-77 deg CCW on EDS.
