1883-O VAM-35 Doubled 18 and Stars
Discovered by Martin Field, April 1982.
35 (revised) III2 18 - C3a (Doubled 18 and Stars) (181) I-2 R-5
Obverse 18 - Doubled 18 in date with 1 below upper crossbar and on surface at top and right of vertical shaft, and left 8 doubled slightly at top inside of both loops and bottom left outside of upper loop. All right stars, first left star and UNUM strongly doubled towards rim. Slightly doubled lower hair, profile and top of Phrygian cap.
Reverse C3a - Same die as VAM-23 & 23B but later die state with weakened die gouges.
1. Fine pitting dots and cameo are present on Liberty Head on EDS specimens.
2. LDS is a tripled clashed die with no letter transfer.
