Discovered by Fred Miller, February 1979.
7 III2 7 - C3d (Doubled Date, CC/CC) (178) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 7- Entire date is slightly doubled. 1 doubled on surface at bottom of upper crossbar, on right side of shaft and at top of bottom crossbar. First 8 doubled on surface at left inside of both loops. Second 8 doubled slightly at top right of lower loop. 3 doubled slightly on right side if upper ball and at bottom inside of lower loop.
Reverse C3d- Mint Mark first C is doubled at bottom inside. Second C is doubled at lower left of upper serif.
COMMENTS: Note the same reverse as the Vam 5 , Vam 5a and Vam 5b as well as Vam 6 Early die states will have a clash impressions with the later die states they have been polished away. View the doubling on (1) in the date as well as the die crack running into the date as this is also seen on PL and DMPL coins.
