1882-P VAM-9 Doubled 82

Discovered by Maurice Dubreuil, June 1975.
9 III2 9 ∙ C3a (Doubled 82) (180) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 9 – 82 in date doubled. Second 8 doubled slightly on left outside of upper loop and bottom outside of lower loop. 2 doubled slightly at top and right outside of upper loop. First 8 has die chip on left side between loops.
Reverse C3a – Normal die

1. Shared obverse with the 1882-P VAM-1G. More than likely these 2 VAM's are of the same die marriage. No VAM 1G has been seen, by the author, that does not have the chip 8 & double 82.
2. The photo's below are taken from 2 seperate coins. Both are AOH from ANACS. The VAM 9 was attributed prior to the discovery of the VAM 1G and has the VAM 1G die scratch present on both reverses. The AOH VAM 1G has matching date doubling for the VAM 9 description as pictured below.
