1882-P VAM-23 8 in Denticles

23 III2 22 ∙ C3a (8 in Denticles) (180) I-3 R-5 (R-4???)
Obverse III2 22 – Top of 8 showing in two adjacent denticle spaces between 18 as two raised and curved lines. Two short die scratches from denticles at second right star. Late die states show die cracks around 5 & 6 right stars with break from fifth star to hair, but will not show the 8 in the denticles due to die wear.
Reverse C3a – Normal die with die gouge on lower right side of eagle's neck over to eagles wing edge.

1. Reverse is used on VAM-1E and VAM-23.
