1882-P VAM-10 Doubled 82
Discovered by Leonard Hinckley, February 1974.
10 III2 10 ∙ C3a (Doubled 82) I-2 Proof
Obverse III2 10 – 82 in date is doubled. Second 8 is doubled strongly on left outside of upper loop. 2 is doubled slightly on left side of shaft.
Reverse C3a – Listed as normal die.
1. Proof Reverse Die. Bubble on D of DOLLAR. This proof reverse was used only to strike proof coins from 1879 to 1901. JLEE

3. 1100 Proof coins were struck this year. Typically they can be found in Mid AU to High Uncirculated condition. As of 3/2014: PCGS poulation is showing 295, NGC 252 & ANACS has 50 attributed. Less than half of the 1882 PF strikings have been idetified by the "big 3" TPG's.
