Obverse III 23– Strongly clashed dies with n of In from reverse showing faintly on obverse next to Liberty head neck.
1. Previous die state is VAM-3, next die state is VAM-3B
2. Prior to the damage caused by the clash giving VAM-3B, the VAM-3A dies were repolished. See large full coin photo's below. This intermediate die state with the incused letter removed is also VAM-3.
