1880-S VAM-21 Doubled 880
Discovered by Bill Fivaz, July 1972.

Obverse III2 14 – 880 doubled in date. Left 8 slightly doubled at top inside and right outside of lower loop. Right 8 top loop doubled at bottom outside of both sides and inside as a thin line at top and bottom. Doubled lower loop at top inside as a thin line. 0 doubled at top left and right sides and slightly at lower left inside.
Reverse C3j – IV S mint mark with filled top loop and diagonal shaft doubled inside lower loop.
1. This obverse shared with VAM-21 and VAM-22.
2. This reverse shared with VAM-21, VAM-27, VAM-68 and VAM-75.
3. Since VAM numbers are assigned by die classification, the shared reverses above are all C3j, type IV SIV S mint mark with filled top loop and diagonal shaft doubled inside lower loop. All may not be the exact same die, but all fit the reverse die classification.
