1880-P VAM-56A Doubled 1-8, Clashed Obverse n
56A III2-53 C3a (Doulbled 1-8, Clashed Obverse n) (181) I-2 R-6
Obverse III2-53 - Clashed die with faint partial incuse "n" of "In" from reverse next to Liberty head neck.
1. Leroy Van Allen says that the faint partial clashed "n" at the neck is diffuse from die wear. Most likely two different reverses dies were used for VAM-56 and VAM-56A. No 56B, the break at the ear is on the 56A Discovery Coin.
2. For other die markers, see 1880-P VAM-56
