Discovered September 2000 by Herb Zepke
39 III239 · C3a (Doubled 1-80) (179) I-3 R-6
Obverse III239 – Doubled 1–80 in date. 1 slightly doubled at top right of lower crossbar. Second 8 slightly doubled at lower left outside of upper loop. 0 doubled on surface at top left and lower right inside. Hair above ear slightly doubled. 0 in date set slightly low with slight tilt to left.
Reverse C3a - (same die as VAM 1A stages)
Comments:
1. Van Allen suggests the large raised line thru the wreath and bow may have been caused by the die being hubbed thru debris.
2. This obverse shared with VAM-39, VAM-39A, and VAM-64.
