1880-P VAM-25A Doubled 1-80, Clashed u

Discovered by John Coxe. Revised 2010.
This coin is a Hit List 40 Morgan VAM.
25A (revised) III2 25 ∙ C3a ( Doubled 1-80, Clashed u) (180) I-3 R-6
Obverse III2 25 – Clashed dies that have been heavily polished with partial u of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Later die state than VAM-25B with crack bottom of 80.
Reverse C3a – Two leaves above N in ONE disconnected.

Photo below, The two leaves above the N in ONE have been over polished and are no longer connected to the branch. This repolishing was done after it was put into service as earlier die states of this reverse the two leaves are still connected. All 25A's will have the two leaves above the N in ONE disconnected from the branch.
