Discovered by Howard Newcomb, February 1913.
1 III2 1 ∙ C3a (Small O) (176) I-1 R-2
Obverse III2 1 – Normal die of III2 type.
Reverse C3a – Normal die of C3 type with small, round I O mint mark centered and upright.

1.The date is set with a normal placement. Since VAM numbers are assigned by die classification, and not just by die pairing, multiple die pairings may exist.
