1879-P VAM-54 Doubled 18-9 and Reverse Wreaths

Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, May 2006.
54 III2 13 · C3k (Doubled 18-9 and Reverse Wreaths) (179) I-3 R-5
Obverse III2 13 – Doubled 18-9 in date. Slightly doubled 1 at top left point, on surface of top crossbar and strongly at top left and right of bottom crossbar. 8 doubled at top inside of lower loop. Slightly doubled 9 at left outside of upper loop and nose tip, lips and chin.
Reverse C3k – Slightly doubled leaves of left and right wreaths, STATES OF and tops of In God We Trust. Some strong polishing lines in eagle’s left wing and tail feathers. Formerly VAM-13 revised.
