1879-O VAM-44A Doubled 9 & Phrygian Cap, Clashed Obverse n & st

Discovery November 2008 by Bigjayvee
44A III2 32 - C3b (Doubled 9 & Phrygian Cap, Clashed Obverse n & st) (176) I-2 R 6
Obverse III2 32 - Clashed die with faint partial incuse n of IN from reverse showing next to Liberty head neck and partial incuse st of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower edge. Slight counter-clash at back of Phrygian cap.

1. A fairly strong st clash more than makes up for a weak partial n clash on the VAM-44A. Discovery coin has fine pitting at ONE that was deemed too small to be readily visible to the naked eye to list. A nice New Clashed Variety.
