1879-O VAM-24 Doubled Date, Low O

Discovered by Martin Field, July 1982.
24 III2 17 ∙ C3h (Doubled Date, Low O) (176) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 17 All digits in date are slightly doubled. 1 doubled at very bottom of base. 8 doubled at bottom outside of lower loop. 7 doubled on lower right of vertical shaft. 9 doubled on left outside of both loops. Open 9 variety.
Reverse C3h IV O mint mark set low, upright and centered.

1. This reverse shared with VAM-18 and VAM-24.
2. The following images are believed to be VAM-24 or a NEW VAM-24A. Mint mark is set lower than VAM-15A.
