1878-S VAM-65 Doubled Motto, Engraved Wing Feather

Discovered by Calvin Cherry, February 2002.
This coin is a Top 30 1878-S Variety.
65 II 8 · B2ap (Doubled Motto, Engraved Wing Feather) (185) I-3 R-5
Obverse II 8 -- PLURIB doubled with LU doubled at the top and RIB doubled at bottom. Upper wheat leaves doubled on right side. Two short spikes below eyelid. Ear slightly doubled at right outside. Point of fourth right star not broken.
Reverse B2ap– Feather engraved between eagle’s right wing and leg. R in Trust not broken. Reverse also used for VAM-82
