Obverse II/I 10- Doubled LIBERTY shifted up. Doubled PLURIBUS & UNUM in Motto. Doubled 1-3 and 5,6 left stars and 1-4 right stars. Doubled
188 with 1 on right side, both 8's over center of top loop. Doubled top cotton leaf and both cotton bolls on left side. Slightly over polished Liberty
head center. Key identifier - Die chip right of lower cotton leaf. B1c reverse also VAM-81.
Reverse B1c- The middle leaves at the end of the olive branch are disconnected. It also has a long arrow shaft which is shared
with every B1 Reverse. It has two die chips on the eagles right wing about half way down the wing which serves as a key marker.

Comments:
1.The VAM-82 shows the strongest doubling of any B1 Reverse Variety with all letters shifted both to the left and upwards.
2. There is dramatic doubling on the first couple of stars to the right of the date. The top of the 8's are lightly doubled and the 1 is notched
at the top right outside.
3. VAM-82 is also the only B1 reverse that has the complete nostril.
4. The Reverse comes in 3 distinct stages

  • 1st Stage has a severly polished reverse covering the majority of the fields no obverse Star Crack
  • 2nd stage Obverse Star crack appears sporatic reverse polishing lines
  • 3rd Die chip on Phrygian cap barely visible after polishing
