This coin is a Hot 50 Morgan VAM. This coin is a Top 30 1878 Variety
79 II/I 35 B1a (Missing Nostril,Doubled Cotton Leaves) (180) I-5 R-4
Obverse II/I 35 - Slightly doubled LIBERTY shifted left. Doubled 2 through 7 stars on left and first three stars on right. Lower part of Liberty head nostril partially missing from over polished die. R of PLURIBUS doubled at top inside of upper loop. Hair, cotton bolls & leaves doubled on right side. Ear slightly doubled on right inside. Key identifier - Metal in loops of both 8's. (Also 201)
Reverse B1a - Different die than VAM-70 .
1. The nostril on Liberty's nose is broken from over polishing the dies. The reverse has the disconnected leaf and the long arrow shaft.
2. some specimens show polished swirl marks on cheek
3. LDS Specimens show Miscellaneous cracks on reverse and in field by G of God
