1878-P VAM-221-2 Cut Down A, Doubled Left Reverse, Polishing Line Cotton Leaf

Obverse II 1– Die 2 Diagonal polishing line in hair gap behind neck. Vertical polishing line below right cotton leaf and into hair. Raised metal in left 8 lower loop.
Reverse C3b– Same hub doubling but different die. Several obverse and reverse dies. Die 2 – Diagonal polishing lines at top of wing-neck gap. Three raised dots below middle tail feathers with 0.030" spacing from impressions of denticles on EDS. Short curved line just above right two dots, possibly from separate impression of die edge.

Comments:
1. Extra metal on 4th right star. LDS shows light 2-sided clashing. If you are unacquainted with the C3b reverse doubling, read the full description at C3b Reverse Die description at VAM-220.
