1904-O VAM-18 Doubled Profile, High O Die #2

Discovered by Martin Field, August 1979. Revised 2009.Revised 2014
18 (revised) III2 7 - C4f (Doubled Profile, High O) (181) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 7 - For both obverse dies, profile of Liberty head is doubled in forward hairline, forehead, nose, lips and chin. Also has slightly doubled top of Phrygian cap.
Obv Die #2 Marker - Single vertical polishing line below cap ribbon.
Reverse C4f- Mint mark set high, centered and upright.
Rev Die #2 Marker - Very light polishing lines in wreath bow and tail feathers, same as VAM-48.
