1921-P VAM-25 Infrequently Reeded, Doubled Jaw _ Left Stars

Discovered by Jim Baxter, October 1978.

This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM.

25 (revised) IV 19 · D1a (Infrequently Reeded, Doubled Jaw _ Left Stars, Scribbling Die Scratches) (157) I-3 R-4
Obverse IV 19– Jaw, lips and nose top slightly doubled. All left stars and E-P slightly doubled and tripled towards rim. Die marker– IR variety 2 with die polishing lines below hair curl on forehead.
Reverse D1a- Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg, between eagle's left wing and body and in middle of eagle's right wing. Die marker - Horizontal die polishing lines between eagle's legs.
Edge– Infrequently reeded variety
