1921-P VAM-1P Die Gouge F

Discovered by Ron Fischer, November 2006.
1P IV 1 · D1a (Die Gouge F) (189) I-2 R-5
Obverse IV 1– Some left stars lightly tripled and E PL.
Reverse D1a– Striated vertical die gouge thru F in OF up to denticles and down to wing edge. Similar to VAM 72A but a little further left and not as broad. Polished band above eagle’s right wing tip. Gouges likely caused by faulty feed fingers.

Comments;
1. May be duplicate Listing as 1921-P VAM-38A. See gouge at eagle's right wing.

This variety is known to be struck through grease on the STA of STATES, In God, and slightly on eagle's neck and breast feathers.
