Obverse IV 1 - Slightly doubled/tripled left stars. Light die polishing lines on face.
Reverse D2a- Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg and between eagle’s left wing and body. Die marker - Heavy vertical die scratch above right wreath ribbon.
Single die gouge above S and also T in States near denticles from feed finger contact.
Comments:
1- Listed in 2012 Supplement as VAM-1AY ; Changed to 1AZ in 2013 Supplement
2- Believe it or not, you are looking at the same coin in both the scribbles images. The photos were shot at different angles to the light. This variety is a great example of how difficult scribbles can be. From different angles they appear to be entirely different varieties.
