Discovered by Bill Van Note, November 2006.
1L2 IV 1 · D2a (Die Break AM, Die Scratches ERI) (189) I-3 R-6
Reverse D2a– Late die state shows fine polishing lines thru bottom of ERI and vertical polished bands thru n G of In God. Displaced field break between wing tip and AM.

Below are 2 1L2 specimens with the scratching in ERI.
This LDS specimen exhibits minimal scratching in the ER.
While this EDS specimen shows the full scratching to be through the ERI & C
The EDS coin also exhibits these same groups of scratches in the "polished bands" area, they appear as raised gouges in the pictures below.
