1921-D VAM-1CZ

1CZ IV1 - D2a (Scribbling Die Scratches #27) (189) I-2 R-5
Reverse D2a - Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg and between eagle’s left wing and body. Die marker- Vertical die gouge at third and fourth inner feather from bottom of eagle's left wing. (EDS of VAMs 12A, 1AN)
1 - Obverse die appears to be different from both VAM 12A and VAM 1AN.

The 1921-D VAM-12A "wreath break" is a popular late die state (LDS) VAM. The VAM-12A appears to have the same "squiggly" scribble of the VAM-1CZ, but the 12A is a LDS coin with worn dies and worn scribbles. It is likely that the VAM-12A is the late die state reverse of the VAM-1CZ.
