1921-D VAM-18 Dot Next to Arrow Head

Discovered by Laurence Galbraith, April 2005.
18 (revised) IV 1 D2i (Dot Next to Arrow Head) (189) I-2 R-5
Obverse IV 1 - Short die scratch above wheat leaf below R.
Reverse D2i - Small circular raised dot next to point of middle arrow head. Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg, between eagle's left wing and body and in middle of eagle's left wing. Die marker - Short diagonal die gouge from eagle's lower lip.
1- Another pick up point seen on some examples of this VAM is a tiny "tongue" gouge jutting out from the eagle's beak.

The 1921-D VAM-18 appears to have been double-listed as the 1921-D VAM-1CW, a scribbling scratches variety. The VAM-1CW will likely be eliminated:
