1897-P VAM-3 Doubled 1

Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, February 1967.
3 III2 3 - C3a (Doubled 1) (190) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 3 - 1 doubled below upper crossbar. Some specimens may have die polish lines in the lower hair.
Comments:
(1) Since VAM numbers are assigned by die classification, and not just by die pairing, multiple die pairings may exist.
(2) The PUP for the VAM-3 and 3A series is a small chip on the nose as outlined in RED on 2nd LFCP below.
