1896-P VAM-12 Near Slanted Date

Discovered by Bill Deterline, July 1978. Revised 2019 by Andrew Wojtowich.
12 (revised) III2 12 - C3a (Near Slanted Date) (189) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 12 - Date set further left than normal and slanted with 1 close to rim.
Die 2 - Die marker - Some horizontal die polishing lines at neck rear.

Reverse C3a -
Die 2 - Die marker - Fine slanted die polishing lines wing-neck gap.

1. Curved gouge on eagle's right wing, 9 feathers up from bottom in the inner feathers toward the body(VAM1C).
2. Possibly the same marriage as [VAM-1C].
3. (12/21/2016 LVA rejected this theory)
