1892-CC VAM-7 Slanted Date

Discovered by Leonard Hinckley, February 1974.
7 III2 4 • C3a (Slanted Date) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 4 - Date slanted with open 2 appreciably higher than 1.

Comments:

  1. The same obverse die class with a slanted date is also used on the VAM 11.
  2. Another date shown below is slightly left of the date shown for VAM 7 in the VAM book. Further inspection of this coin necessary to determine if it is another die pair that would be called VAM 7.
  3. A circulated specimen with a double clash at the neck and right edge of the G is known. It could not be determined if this is a listable clash or not.
